Alicia Crane William’s study project, Early New England Families, 1641-1700 focuses on immigrants to New England , using Torrey’s New England Marriages as a guide.

Today we’re announcing two new sketches:

Daniel Bacon (m. 1639) Daniel Bacon was born in England around 1615.  He died in Newton in 1691.  He married Mary Read and had 10 children.  He was a tailor and a yeoman.

Thomas Hinckley (m.1641, 1660) Thomas Hinckley was from Hawkhurst in Kent, England.  His family settled Barnstable, where he lived the rest of his life.  He first married Mary Richards, then Mary [Smith] Glover after Mary Richards’s death.  He was the last governor of Plymouth Colony, serving for almost 10 years before it became part of the Massachusetts Bay Colony.  He had seventeen children.
