Early Murphys in Newport, RI

Helen Schatvet Ullmann has been researching Murphy families from Rhode Island for years, trying to sort out the lineage of an ancestor.  Her collection of sketches, Early Murphys in Newport, RI sorts out many of the puzzles related to Murphys/Murfeys in this area.  You can now view her manuscript in full or search our database.  The six sketches in this database detail the families of Edward, two Johns, Elizabeth, Martin, and Smith Murphy.
